Instead of turning to a traditional gift like a fancy pen or just writing a check, why not give your high school or college graduate the gift of self-confidence? It’s especially important at this stage of their life, when they meet so many new people and go through so many new experiences. Let us help you boost their confidence with smile enhancements in Boone, NC!
If you’ve got a graduate going to college this fall, an attractive smile will help them show more confidence in class and in social settings. A great-looking smile is also an asset in job interviews for those who just graduated from college.
At Appalachian Dental Care, we can use cosmetic dentistry and/or restorative dentistry procedures to correct many common smile flaws. Dr. Steven Airey can advise you on the ones that will work best for your graduate and can help them create a personalized plan for smile enhancements. Schedule a consultation for your graduate by calling 828-355-5673.
As a starting point, here is some information about some procedures your grad may want to consider.
A White Smile Gives Your Graduate Confidence
One of our easiest and least expensive smile enhancements, teeth whitening, will make a big difference in how your graduate’s smile looks. A bright smile really makes an impact when meeting someone for the first time, whether it’s a dorm mate or a job interviewer.
Your graduate is no doubt busy preparing for their next step in life. So they’ll appreciate the convenience of our take-home teeth whitening treatments with professional-strength gel from Opalescence. With these treatments, they can whiten whenever it’s convenient. We’ll make custom whitening trays for them, using impressions of their teeth, so it’s easy to get complete coverage. Our custom trays are so much better than messy strips!
Dental Veneers Can Solve Many Smile Problems
No matter what your graduate may not like about their smile, chances are good we can change it with dental veneers. As one of our most versatile smile improvements, Dr. Airey can use them to change the shape, size, and/or color of teeth. Custom-made veneers will conceal imperfections like chips, stubborn stains, and small gaps in teeth. Our veneers are made of either high-quality porcelain or zirconia. So they’ll keep your graduate’s smile looking great for decades.
Your graduate likely has a pretty full calendar, so they’ll want to get their veneers as quickly as they can. Most dental practices outsource production of veneers to an outside lab. But Dr. Airey can make them right in our office, using our high-tech CEREC system. With CEREC it’s possible to get veneers in just a few visits, possibly even in a single appointment.
Try These Smile Enhancements for a Perfect Finish
Sometimes small smile enhancements make a big difference in how your graduate’s smile looks – and how they feel about it. They may be interested in one of these procedures:
- Dental Bonding – During this affordable procedure, Dr. Airey painstakingly applies tooth-colored composite to hide smile flaws before hardening it with a special light. It can cover some of the same imperfections as veneers, though the results won’t last as long.
- Gum Reshaping – If your graduate has a gummy smile, Dr. Airey can remove excess tissue to give them a more attractive balance between teeth and gums.
Replace Your Grad’s Missing Teeth With Dental Implants
Perhaps nothing impacts how a smile looks more than a missing tooth or teeth. Dental implants are one of the best ways to replace teeth. They’re an especially good idea for a graduate. Without an implant to keep their jaw stimulated, they will lose bone density. So the best way to preserve their dental health, and overall health, is with an implant. Implants can be used to replace a single tooth or any number of teeth.
Repair Dental Damage So It Won’t Get Worse
If your graduate has a decayed tooth, it’s a good idea to get it fixed while they are still under your supervision. We’ll use a tooth-colored filling or a dental crown to repair it, depending on the extent of the damage. If they ignore a cavity, it can get infected. This will require a root canal, which can be pretty scary for a grad to face while away from home. Or worse, they could end up losing the tooth.
While your grad would have to wait days or even weeks for a crown at most dental practices, Dr. Airey can make a crown for them right in our office with CEREC. No temporary crown needed!
