Our Boone, NC dentist’s office has invested a lot of time and resources into helping boost the oral health of folks in our community. And we hope that soon we’ll be seeing your smiling face in one of our dental chairs. Be sure to schedule your appointment ASAP! Until then, here’s a little of what you can expect from Dr. Airey and the rest of our team when it comes to preventive dentistry…
At Appalachian Dental Care, you will always be more than just another name on a chart to us. As such, you will be welcomed as family each time you walk through our doors. No one here will ever look down on you or lecture you about the state of affairs in your mouth. That is not what we are here for. Rather than that, we will objectively assess whatever is going on and put together a plan of action aimed at getting you back on track right away. What’s more, we always do our best to customize your treatments to fit within the parameters of your current needs and budget.
We are all about building lifelong relationships with our patients. We are confident that you’ll love our welcoming environment and staff so much that you will be eager to come back and see us often.
As you may well know, it will be in your best interest to become a regular visitor. You see, when you stop by every 3-6 months, we will be able to better manage any tartar, plaque, food, and bacteria that remains in your mouth even after your best efforts at home.
Besides professional-grade teeth cleanings, our thorough examinations will give us early warning if there is an emerging cause for concern. Oral cancer, decay and other issues can cause real trouble for you if they are not addressed sooner rather than later.
If you are exhibiting signs of decay, we can quickly restore your smile with a tooth-colored filling. That is way better than a root canal or an extraction, trust us!
What’s more, we can offer extra protection in the form of fluoride treatments and dental sealants. We look forward to keeping your mouth clean and your smile looking great for many years to come.
We Do Perio Evaluations Too
The term “periodontal” just means that it refers to your gums, which are a pretty major player when it comes to your oral health. If you have periodontal disease (the advanced stage of gum disease), not only will your gums bleed, but you are also at risk of losing your teeth permanently. A perio evaluation is when Dr. Airey checks your gums for any signs of gum disease. Such signs include gums that are swollen, red, tender, or bleeding, as well as having loose teeth. Don’t worry, in most cases Dr. Airey can use nonsurgical treatments such as antibiotics or root planing and scaling to help prevent gum disease from wrecking your gorgeous grin.
